South Dakota Conservation Commissioners Appointed

Governor Kristi Noem has appointed Doug Hansen of Webster, Charlie Moe of Rosebud, Bill Coburn of Spearfish, and Dusty Rodiek of Brookings to the State Conservation Commission.

Hansen will serve as the At-Large representative. Moe and Coburn will serve as the tree industry representative. Rodiek will serve as the as the Municipal League representative.

"These appointees bring a wealth of experiences to the Conservation Commission," said South Dakota Secretary of Agriculture Kim Vanneman. "Their knowledge and experiences of conservation practices have been invaluable during their past tenures."

Hansen, Moe, Coburn, and Rodiek will serve with five others on the State Conservation Commission. Their terms expire on Dec. 31, 2022.

The Commission, which has administrative oversight of South Dakota's 69 Conservation Districts, is charged with overseeing the development and implementation of the State Coordinated Plan and setting natural resources policy. For more information, please visit https://bit.ly/2T0QSN0.
