Thune: Congress Must Fund CCC
South Dakota Ag Connection - 09/18/2020
U.S. Sen. John Thune (R-S.D.), a longtime member of the Senate Agriculture Committee, Thursday discussed the importance of prioritizing farmers and ranchers across America, especially considering the additional challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Thune, along with farm-state senators, including Sen. John Hoeven (R-N.D.), continue to advocate for full funding of the Commodity Credit Corporation (CCC).
The CCC ensures that USDA has the resources it needs to provide assistance to producers through farm programs.
Also participating in the colloquy were Sens. Deb Fischer, R-Neb.; Joni Ernst, R-Iowa; Cindy Hyde-Smith, R-Miss.; and John Boozman, R-Ark.
